This project was a complete landscaping transformation designed to improve the functionality, accessibility and overall presentation of the property following the addition of a new granny flat.
As part of the works, we installed a concrete slab surrounding the new granny flat, creating a clean, durable and practical surface around the building. The concrete provides a defined transition between the structure and surrounding landscape while creating additional usable outdoor space and helping to protect the immediate area around the granny flat.
A major component of the project was the installation of retaining walls throughout the front yard and around the pool area. The varying levels across the property required a practical solution to stabilise and define the different areas while improving the overall layout of the landscape. The retaining walls create clear boundaries between levels and provide a strong structural foundation for the finished landscape.
To improve access between the different levels, we constructed concrete sleeper retaining wall stairs, providing a durable and functional connection between the yard and pool areas. The stairs were incorporated into the retaining structures to create a cohesive finish while making the previously difficult-to-navigate spaces safer and more accessible.
